Pondok Pesantren Krapyak is a religious and social institution under the auspices of the Ali Maksum Foundation, Yogyakarta. Established in 1990, Ali Maksum Foundation is a legal entity which continues the charitable efforts of Kyai Haji Ali Maksum.
Vision and Mission
Transforming the Islamic culture into society is the main vision and mission of Islamic Boarding School of Krapyak. The transformation was carried out by the belief that religion is the only way to get God acceptance and wasilah for the happiness of the world and the hereafter.
Strategically, this is achieved by preparing a knowledgeable generation wa mutafaqqih fiddin and students who are religious, learned and always be rahmatan lil’alamin for the community
Objectives
The aims and objectives of the Pondok Pesantren Krapyak are:
- Educate people’s lives through nurturing and developing of Islamic boarding school.
- Educate and nurture the community to be pious and have good character, mastering science and technology, in order to be able to fulfill the duties and obligations for religion, society, nation and state.
The program of the Pesantren in general are:
- Improving the quality of education and teaching as well as pioneering a new educational institutions in accordance with the development and needs of the community.
- Continuously improving the service to the community
- Cooperate with various stakeholders, by providing opportunities for communities to participate in building and developing Krapyak Boarding School in kinship and togetherness.
